Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdulla II, on Wednesday, met with a number of families of the armed forces' and security bodies' martyrs, who fell in the fight against terrorist gangs.
During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Rania, His Majesty voiced pride in the heroism of the martyrs, who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the home;and's security, borders and stability.
His Majesty stressed that terrorist acts, which targeted the Kingdom, made Jordanians more united and determined to face terrorist gangs and anyone tempted to tamper with the Kingdom's security and stability.
King Abdullah also expressed pride and confidence in the efforts of the army and security agencies to protect the nation and safeguard its achievements. The martyrs' families voiced appreciation for His Majesty the King in providing them with all forms of support.
Earlier, His Majesty ordered the establishment of a fund to support the families of the martyrs of the armed forces and security agencies. He also ordered the allocation of JOD5 million from the Royal Court's budget to the fund.
He also gave directives that the families of martyrs be covered by a military-run credit fun and provide them with zero-interest financing.
The meeting was attended by Royal Court chief, the king's advisor for national security affairs, the director of the Intelligence Department and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, King's Office Director, Royal Court Secretary General and directors of the public security, civil defense, gendarmerie.
