Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - First Deputy Lower House Speaker Khalil Attiyah on Friday called on Islamic parliaments to exert pressure on donor countries to provide support to the Kingdom to meet needs of Syrian refugees inside the Kingdom.

Addressing a meeting of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's Member States (PUOICM) in Mali, Attiyah said the world must shoulder its responsibility towards the growing needs of Syrian refuges in the Kingdom.

Further, the lawmaker said, the world must provide financial support to Jordan to help it deal with the growing numbers of Syrian refugees.

The MP spoke about the various reforms implemented by Jordan in various domains, as well as the Kingdom stances towards regional developments and issues.
