Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan on Sunday took part in an international peace conference held in Paris with the participation of 70 countries and 5 global organizations, including the United Nations, the Arab League and the European Union.
State Minister for Legal Affairs, Bisher Khasawneh, who represented the Kingdom's at the conference, said the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital is a higher Jordanian interest.
He emphasized that all final-status issues, including Jerusalem, the refugees, water, security and borders are linked to Jordanian interests and should be addressed and fulfilled. He warned that the failure to achieve peace will lead to political vacuum that triggers violence and instability.
The minister referred to the Hashemite Custodianship of Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
