Saudi Arabia to increase Jordan's pilgrims quota by 20 percent

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Saudi Arabia has increased by 20 percent the number of Jordanian pilgrims who will be allowed to perform Hajj ((the greater Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca) in the coming pilgrimage season, according to Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Wael Arabiyat.

The decision followed a working visit by the minister to Saudi Arabia where he discussed means to boost cooperation between the two countries in issues related to pilgrimage.

In a press statement on Thursday, Arabiyat stressed the importance of changing the location of Jordanians' camp in Mina to a better place, adding that the Saudi side promised to study the issue.
