Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister, Hani al-Mulki, on Monday, met with Iraqi President, Fuad Masum, and discussed with him relations between Jordan and Iraq and ways of cementing them in various domains.
During a meeting in Baghdad today, the prime minister told the Iraqi president that Jordan builds its relations with its neighbors on the principles of respect and non-interference in their internal affairs. He reiterated the Kingdom's support for Iraq's stability and security. Al-Mulki held another meeting with Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Salim al-Jabouri, and a number of lawmakers and discussed with them Jordanian-Iraqi cooperation. Al-Mulki highlighted the outcome of the talks he held with the Iraqi prime minister and said they were fruitful.
Al-Mulki and his Iraqi counterpart, Haidar al-Abadi, took part in business forum that brought together Jordanian and Iraqi businessmen who sought to explore areas of economic cooperation. Al-Mulki spoke about potential investment opportunities in both countries in areas of crude oil shipping and storage and electric linkage.
