Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Jordan and the whole Middle East region will, as of Tuesday come under the effect of a major cold air mass, expected to bring thunderstorms and heavy rain, but forecasters still say there is no definite projection of snowfall.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, rain is expected to fall across the Kingdom with strong gusts of winds, Muhammad Samawi, director of the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) told Petra. He said further details of the forthcoming weather conditions will be published in due time to ensure the delivery of accurate information.

Samawi urged citizens not to "listen to rumors" about the weather forecast and to take accurate information from the official channel through the website of the JMD (www.jmd.gov.jo).
