618 Jordanians benefit from Crown Prince "Hearing Without Borders" initiative

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Fifteen cochlear implant surgeries have been performed recently under the Hearing Without Borders initiative, raising the number of people who have benefited from the initiative to 618 children, according to Crown Prince Foundation.

The surgeries were performed by German Prof. Dr. Matthias Tisch, who role was not restricted to performing the surgeries voluntarily over the past five years, but also exceeded that to donate a number of cochleae and implant them in cooperation with Jordanian medical teams.

Chief Executive Officer of Crown Prince Foundation Omar Masarweh said that the surgeries are conducted within the continued work of the foundation to implement the initiative that target Jordanian children with hearing problems.

The surgeries were part of the initiative, launched by HRH Crown Prince Hussein in late 2014 in a bid to make Jordan free of hearing disabilities and help deaf children in the country.
