Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany has granted 13.000 JD from its small scale funds to the Theodor Schneller School Amman for the creation of a kindergarten on the premises of the school. The agreement was signed on 8 July
2009 by the director of the Theodor Schneller Schule, Dr. Ghazi Musharbash, and
Chargé d'Affaires / Acting Ambassador Friederike Hellner. The donation emphasizes the Embassy's continuing efforts to assist in improving the social system in Jordan.
The kindergarten will be inaugurated after thorough investment into the
infrastructure and is going to be open for boys and girls under the supervision of
experienced Schneller School staff.
The Theodor Schneller School Amman was founded in 1959 as a shelter for orphans and is going to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year. The guiding principle of Theodor Schneller Schools in the region is to combine a shelter for orphans with appropriate educational facilities. Thus in Amman, the shelter has its own school and vocational training workshops.
The German Embassy continues its support for smale scale projects that support
community projects in social and gender oriented fields. Applications can be
adressed to the Embassy directly. Additional information is available on the
Embassy's home-page:
