The ban includes all Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices, it said, adding that the phones also cannot be shipped as air cargo. Device owners have experienced documented incidents of dangerous evolution of heat with both recalled and replacement Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices. The ban follows an emergency order that was issued on October 14 by the US Department of Transportation, with the Federal Aviation Administration and the pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, to ban all Samsung Galaxy Note7 smartphone devices from air transportation in the United States.
