King begins working visit to Germany on Friday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II will start a working visit to Germany on Friday during which he will meet with German President Joachim Gauck, Chancellor Angela Merkel and other German officials.

The King's talks will focus on means to boost ties of cooperation and friendship between Jordan and Germany, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

During a ceremony in the city of Munster, His Majesty will receive in the presence of Her Majesty King Rania Al Abdullah, the Westphalian Peace Prize in recognition of his role at international forums to support efforts that aim at achieving global peace and security.

The award goes to those individuals and institutions that have become models of extraordinary peace work in Europe and the world.

His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein was sworn in as Regent in the presence of Cabinet members.
