Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Imad Fakhoury, on Sunday, said Jordan will not be able to continue providing adequate services to its citizens and more than 1.3 million Syrian refugees without non-stop international support and assistance.
The minister spoke during a panel discussion on securing financing to address refugee crises in middle-income countries, that was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The minister said Jordan's backs any move by the World Bank and donor nations to expand soft financing to cover all parts of the world, including Jordan's which reels under enormous pressures arising from the refugee crisis. He urged the international community to think up and implement flexible and innovative solutions required to address the ramifications of regional crises.
