Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Ahmad Abu Ghaush, who secured Jordan’s its first ever gold Olympic medal, arrived home Tuesday evening to a warm welcome led by Royal Family members and top officials.
Their Royal Highnesses Prince El-Hassan bin Talal, Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, and Prince Rashid bin El-Hassan led a welcoming ceremony for Abu Ghoush and other members of the Jordanian delegation to Rio 2016 Olympics at the Queen Alia International Airport. Their Royal Highnesses said they are proud of Abu Ghaush’s achievement and hailed the distinguished performance other Jordanian players delivered at the Rio Olympic games. Also welcoming the Jordanian delegation were the director of the Gendarmerie Department, the families of the players, senior officials and a large crowd.
Abu Ghaush scooped gold in the taekwondo -68kg event on Friday, after beating Russia’s Alexey Dinisenko 10-6.
