Senate committee condemns Israeli practices against holy sites in Jerusalem

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Senate's Palestine Committee condemned Israeli practices against Al Aqsa Mosque, as well as the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, and voiced its rejection of violations and aggressions committed by Israeli settlers against the holy sites under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces.
In a statement on Sunday, following a meeting that was chaired by Senator Nayef Al Qadi, the committee stressed Jordan's supportive stance under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to Jerusalem and its holy sites, and praised the efforts of His Majesty to protect the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
The committee urged Israel to respect all international agreements and conventions on Jerusalem, and affirmed its rejection of the Israeli measures to change the status quo in the occupied city.
It also hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, and their efforts to confront Israeli aggressive practices and provocations as well as Israel's policy to confiscate more lands and homes in Jerusalem.
