PM calls for facilitating procedures for passengers at QAIA

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Monday toured the Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) within his inspection field visits to public institutions and facilities to ensure better services to citizens and visitors to the Kingdom.
During the visit, the second to the QAIA, Mulki, who was accompanied by a number of ministers and other officials, checked on progress of work and measures taken to provide better services to passengers.
He said the Queen Ali Airport is the main gateway to Jordan, and an ideal destination for passengers, whether businessmen, investors, tourists or citizens.
The premier also checked on the second phase of the (QAIA) expansion project, which has been completed. The $850-million expansion project includes increasing the gates from 9 to 17 and raising the airport’s capacity to accommodate 16 million passengers annually.
Mulki also checked on progress of work at the Air Cargo Terminal as well as air cargo operations that include exporting agricultural and pharmaceutical goods.
During a meeting with representatives of civil and security agencies operating at the airport, the prime minister voiced thanks and appreciation for their efforts to ensure better services to citizens and passengers.
