Temperatures forecast to remain above average till Wednesday

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Monday are forecast to rise 5-7 degrees above their annual average, as the country remains under the impact of a heatwave, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
The heatwave, which started affecting the country last week, is expected to push temperatures to their upper thirties and last until Wednesday, JMD daily brief said.
Therefore, hot weather conditions are expected to prevail in the hilly areas over the next three days, while it will be extremely hot in other parts of the Kingdom, with northwesterly moderate winds.
The highest daytime temperatures expected to be registered in the capital during this hot spell is 38 degrees Celsius, in the northern regions 36 and in the southern areas 35, JMD said.
Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will spike to 44 degrees, dropping to 32 at night.
