MBC’s chairman receives medal from Jordan’s king

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS -The chairman of the MBC Group has received a royal accolade for his work in developing and promoting broadcast media in the region.

Sheikh Waleed Bin Ibrahim al-Ibrahim, chairman of the MBC Group, received the Independence Order of First Class medal from Jordanian King Abdullah II in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on Wednesday.

The Order of first class medal was presented to Sheikh Waleed for his efforts in developing television and radio channels at a regional level, and for his distinguished contributions and achievements in improving the performance of Arab media.

Sheikh Waleed was named “the world's 66th most influential Arab personality among other 100 Arabs” by Gulf News in 2012. While he was given the of the world's 24th most influential Arab among 500 others in 2012 by Arabian Business.
