Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is expected Wednesday to become 6-7 degrees below annual average, but it will remain relatively cold and partly cloudy with heavy rain accompanied with thunder and lightening in most regions.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), gusty westerly to northwesterly winds are expected stirring dust in the Badia regions.
At night, the JMD added, similar conditions will continue to prevail across the country with scattered showers at times and fog formation over the highlands.
A slight rise in temperatures is forecast on Thursday, but it will remain relatively cold and partly cloudy with a continued chance for light rain. The weather will gradually stabilize at night but it will be continue to be cold with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD explained.
As for Friday a further rise in temperatures is forecast creating moderate conditions in most parts of the country with clouds at high altitudes. Winds will be westerly to southwesterly moderate to brisk stirring dust in the Badia region.
Temperatures in the capital for today are forecast to reach a high of 16 degrees Celsius and a low of 8 degrees at night, while mercury levels in the gulf of Aqaba will hit a high of 26 degrees plunging to 16 at night, the JMD added.
