He said in an interview received by Shafaq News that , "There is also information about the close delivery of three F16 jets to Iraq out of 36 aircrafts had been contracted on, on condition to take off and land from bases in Jordan, this is surprising, because Imam Ali (PBUH) base in Dhi Qar announced its readiness since last year to receive the aircrafts. " Al-Issawi stressed that "making excuses that there is no suitable runway for landing and take-off of (F16) aircrafts is not an appropriate or even real excuse , the government should not accept these American complications, as these pretexts are flimsy and may aim to continue to delay working with these planes or reduce their effectiveness in fighting ISIS terrorists ". *Shafaq News
