Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - More than 130,000 Syrian students are studying at Jordan's public schools forcing authorities to open new schools and introduce double-shift system at more than 98 schools across the Kingdom.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Muhammad Thneibat, told representatives of international relief agencies and foreign embassies in the Kingdom that this massive number of Syrian students places major burdens on the educational process and its quality. The minister spoke about a major gap between support the education ministry receives from donor parties and countries and the real needs of the ministry, calling on the international community to extend additional support to Jordan for this purpose .
