Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A Jordanian economic delegation on Saturday started its working visit to Tanzania by taking a first-hand look at African markets, in a bid to improve the availability of the Kingdom’s products in Africa.
During the 3-day visit, which is being organized by the Jordan Exporters Association (JEA), the delegation will meet a number of officials from industry and trade ministries, the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA), in addition to importers that are interested in Jordanian products.
Also, according to a press release from the Association, the delegation will visit the East Africa International Trade Exhibition (EAITE) to discuss opportunities for Jordanian participation at the fair in upcoming years.
The JEA also noted that great opportunities are available for Jordanian industries in African markets, expressing the belief that their visit would encourage export activities by organizing trade delegations and participation in exhibitions.
The Tanzanian economy largely depends upon agriculture, which represents 85 percent of its total exports. It is also the world’s fourth-largest gold producer, as well as a major exporter of coffee, tea, cocoa, vegetables, fruits and fish, in addition to tobacco.
