173 Jordanians evacuated from Yemen

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - About 172 Jordanians on Tuesday crossed into Saudi Arabia from Yemen as Jordan stepped up its efforts to bring home its nationals fleeing the war-torn country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs said.
A ministry statement said the evacuation, being carried out in cooperation with Saudi Authorities, brought to 476 the number of Jordanians who had left Yemen since the conflict in the country began.
It said another Jordanian was brought out of Yemen aboard a Pakistan ship evacuating Pakistani expats as world nations raced to get their citizens out of Yemen.
Upon His Majesty King Abdullah's directives to airlift Jordanian evacuees from Saudi Arabia back home, a Jordanian plane landed at the Queen Alia International Airport at dawn today with 144 people on board.
