Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) expressed pride that Jordan will again host the World Economic Forum this May.

The Forum will be held at the Dead Sea in the presence of hundreds of international figures and representatives of major international companies.

The ACC said in a statement on Saturday that hosting the Forum for the eighth time at the Dead Sea, under the Royal patronage, is a reflection of Jordan’s prestigious status on the world investment map and as a host of international economic dialogues.

It added that the holding of such an event again emphasized the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II in enhancing international peace and security, while achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.

Further, the president of the ACC, Issa Haider Murad, called upon the Jordanian private sector to actively participate in the forum, which provides fertile ground for discussions about latest global political and economic developments and contributes to boosting developmental and investment partnerships between Jordanian businessmen and their foreign counterparts.

He also stressed that the Forum will provide a significant opportunity to showcase the most promising investment opportunities in Jordan, inform the global business community about the Kingdom's economic reality and its attractive investment environment in many fields.

Murad stressed that continuing the Forum at the Dead Sea gives a strong boost to the economic reform efforts carried out by the Kingdom, while alerting the forum's participants about contemporary economic legislation and regulations recently approved by the government that promote a competitive local business environment.
