143rd session of the Arab League Council kicks off

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The 143rd session of the Arab League Council's meeting at the level of foreign ministers, headed by Jordan, started Monday.

The meetings will tackle the implementation of the decisions of the 2014 Kuwait summit and the obstacles faced in implementing some of these, as well as the recommendations to be submitted to the upcoming Arab summit at the end of March in Sharm el-Sheikh.

The gathering will also discuss the situation in Syrian and efforts to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis. It will also shed light on the Arab Peace Initiative, in addition to discussing the latest developments regarding the Palestinian issue in the light of the previous decision that had demanded that the Security Council must help end the Israeli occupation of Palestine within a timeframe.
