The Anthony Stanco Ensemble Quintet Jazzes in Jordan

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The U.S. Embassy in Jordan is proud to bring the Anthony Stanco Ensemble to Jordan Dec. 1 - 6. The Ensemble will hold several workshops, educational performances, outreach programs and jam sessions in addition to public performances in Amman, Aqaba and Irbid.

The Anthony Stanco Ensemble is a jazz quintet comprised of some of the most promising young talents in jazz today. The ensemble is influenced by the history of jazz and draws from this to their unique sound.

The ensemble’s leader, Anthony Stanco, is a rising talent in today’s music scene. He was a featured performer at the 2006 Birmingham Jazz Festival as well as at the 2007 Detroit Jazz Festival. His album was nominated for a Latin Grammy and he has performed with world-class musicians such as Aretha Franklin, Winard Harper, Michael Feinstein and Rodney Whitaker.

The public performances for the Anthony Stanco Ensemble Quintet are as follows:

Monday, December 1 Irbid Arabella Mall at 6 p.m.
Tuesday, December 2 Amman Zara Expo Aud. at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, December 5 Aqaba Prince Rashed Marine Club at 6 p.m.
