Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, President of the Arab Thought Forum and President of the Higher Council for Science and Technology received at Majlis El Hassan in the Royal Palaces at Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Osama Al Khajah, Founder and Chairman of Ebtikar Association, who briefed HRH the Jordanian Prince about objectives, achievements, and future plans of the Association. They also reviewed prospects of co-operation with the Arab Thought Forum and the Higher Council for Science and Technology. During their talks, they underlined the importance of co-operation and co-ordination of all efforts by all parties to develop a clearly defined Arab strategy for innovation and to the appropriate environment for promotion of scientific research and innovation in the Arab world.

During the meeting, HRH Prince El Hassan praised the objectives and efforts of Ebtikar Association in contributing to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity wishing the Association and its officials further success in carrying out their duties. The Jordanian Prince also underscored the significance of developing and enhancing the spirit of innovation and creativity amongst talented youngsters and all other members of the community to develop their knowledge skills and innovation for better social and economic development in the Arab world in general.

Meanwhile, Osama Al Khajah expressed his honor and pleasure to meet HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal , and his pride as for the call of HRH to initiate the Arab strategy for scientific research and innovation. He added it was a great opportunity to explore prospects for co-operation with the Arab Thought Forum and the Higher Council for Science and Technology for achieving their common objectives. At the end of their meeting, Osama Al Khajah honoured HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal for his significant efforts and global initiatives for the enhancement of Arab culture and Islamic identity, promotion of science and technology and development of scientific research.

The Ebtikar Association is the first of its kind in Bahrain and seeks through local, and regional and international networks to develop a specialized platform for supporting an innovation led community. The Association seeks to mobilize resources, apply the best practices and to be a leader of innovation. Its mission is based upon five key elements which are namely to provide a forum for exchange of ideas and communication concerning innovation in Bahrain and outside it, raising awareness levels and issues of development amongst policy makers to empower economies and communities driven by innovation, supporting technological initiatives related to innovation by providing guidance and access to all stakeholders, sponsoring and promoting the publication of research work and building up relations with like-minded partners in Bahrain and overseas.
