Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - -The consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.3 per cent at the end of May this year compared with the same period last year, according to the Department of Statistics (DoS) report on inflation.
The rise of the CPI, which measures inflation, is the result of an increase in the prices of several principal commodities.
Transport, , education, rents, clothes and shoes were among the commodities which recorded an increase in their prices while meat, poultry , medical care, oils and fats were the main commodities which recorded a in their prices, the DoS bulletin indicated.
