Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - More than 21 people were killed when the Syrian Free Army shelled a tent where Daraa supporters of Bashar Al Assad gathered for election campaigning. Ahmad Masalma, FSA spokesman, said rebels from the Free Syrian Army umbrella group fired a mortar shell at the tent to scare away people from polling places. More than 100 people, including children, where inside the tent when the mortar struck. The tent was set on fire. According to Masalma, the FSA rebels were provoked by the music sounding from inside tent. Bashar Al-Assad is expected to win the election. Many Syrians fear the rule of Islamists, who want to establish Sharia as the law of the land. The brutal application of "Sharia" punishment on citizens, not only left ethnic and religious minorities in fear for their lives, but horrified many Muslim-Arabs who were repulsed by this type of" Wahabi justice."
