Jordan Recalls Ambassadors to Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - In an article published by Beladi Today, an Iraqi newspaper, reported that Jordan's ambassador was recalled to Amman. Iraqi MP. Emad Yokhna, a member of the Committee for foreign relations, confirmed the pull out of the ambassador.

MP YoKhna added: " the withdrawal will negatively affect the Iraqi-Jordanian relation. Jordan's excuses of "poor security" were unfounded. Jordan's government wants to exercise pressure over Baghdad."

Sources revealed to Ammon confirmed the recall of the three ambassadors.The recent kidnapping of Jordan's ambassador to Libya prompted a review of security measures and found deficiencies in safety procedures.

The decision included ambassadors and high ranking diplomats who received direct or indirect threats .

Foreign ministry spokesman said he three ambassadors are in Amman for personal reasons.
