Jordan, World Bank discuss developing public procurement systems

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A number of ministers and World Bank officials, on Monday, discussed prospects for developing and unifying Jordan's procurement and tendering systems.

The meeting brought the ministers of public sector development, health, finance, and housing together with the head of the World Bank mission in Jordan.

The ministers stressed the importance for creating the appropriate environment needed to develop and unify government procurement systems in the Kingdom.

The meeting agreed to speed up the endorsement of the unified government procurement system which is being examined by the Legislation and Opinion Bureau.
