Jordan sets up corona virus committee

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The National Committee for Epidemics, on Monday, decided to set up a medical committee tasked with following up on corona virus cases in the Kingdom which has already reported some infections.

Health Ministry Undersecretary, Daifallah al-Louzi said the committee is tasked with monitoring cases with severe respiratory infections and provide needed medications at hospitals and check on their readiness.

He noted that the ministry is in constant contact with international health bodies to remain updated on latest developments on the corona virus issue. A health ministry official said 8 cases of the disease have been reported since 2012.
