Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour will next Saturday open a national economic conference that would come up with proposals for solutions to the Kingdom's huge state budget deficit and foreign debt.
The conference, titled, "the Jordanian economy in a changing year," organised by the Jordan Society for Scientific Research (JSSR), will bring together officials and economic experts to examine economic hardships and put forward proper policy proposals to exit the current situation and explore future prospects.
JSSR president Anwar Battikhi told Petra that participants will exchange academic and scientific data to support the national economy and "debate the key economic pillars in a renewed local and regional environment." He said the conference will be divided into four major areas for discussion: the Jordanian general budget and debt, monetary and financial markets, the knowledge economy and growth and promotion of the Jordanian business sectors.
Among other topics to be tackled by the conference are women's productivity and participation in the national workforce, the role of marketing relations in creating business leaders and the role of communications in promoting business.
Participants will come up with recommendations to help the national economy and address indebtedness.
