Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Chairman of Jordanian Senate, Abdur Rauf Rawabdeh will attend the 2nd Global Shared Societies Forum to be held in Baku.
Rawabdeh's participation in the forum was agreed upon during his meeting with representatives of Nizami Ganjavi International Center in Amman, the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with Diaspora told Trend Agency on April 8.
The meeting participants stressed that Azerbaijan and Jordan have historical friendship bonds and pointed out that the recognition of Khojaly genocide in the Jordanian Senate is of great significance.
Princess Basma bint Talal of Jordan, who highly appreciates the role of Nizami Ganjavi International Center in promoting dialogue and mutual understanding between peoples and cultures, will also participate at the forum.
The Second Global Shared Societies Forum will be held in Azerbaijan on April 27-30 with the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, Nizami Ganjavi International Center and the Club of Madrid. About 200 former heads of states and governments, influential politicians, representatives of international organizations will participate at the forum.
