Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, visited on Monday the Public Security Department (PSD) where he met with PSD Director General Tawfiq Hamed Al Tawalbah and checked on the duties and services that the department provides to the citizens.
The King called for developing integrated police and humanitarian services that enhance a sense of security and safety among both Jordanians and non Jordanians in the Kingdom.
He also stressed the need to continue efforts to fight crime and deal with it as per law in a professional manner.
His Majesty voiced pride in efforts exerted by the PSD personnel and sacrifices made by them to carry out their Nobel message and preserve citizens' security and property.
At the meeting, which was attended by senior officers, the King listened to a briefing by General Tawalbah on accomplishments made by the PSD over the past 12 months as part of its security strategy.
The briefing focused on the executive plans to carry out the strategy , efforts of the PSD to fight crimes, and measures taken to ensure traffic safety.
General Tawalbah said the PSD will continue performing its duties in line with the King's directives.
