Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Eleven policemen were injured, on Saturday, when security forces clashed with a group of Syrian refugees in the Zaatari camp north of the Kingdom.

The police said the rioters attacked security forces and public property following the arrest of some refugees who tried to leave the camp illegally.

A Public Security Department PSD statement said the rioters hurled stones against security personnel injuring 11 who were rushed to hospitals and they are now in fair conditions.

Some of the rioters were rushed to hospitals for moderate injuries.

The rioters set six tents and two caravans to fire forcing security forces to use tear gas to disperse the mob. The PSD said security bodies will not tolerate any attempt to break the law or attack public property.
