Malaysians try ‘magic’ to find missing plane

15-03-2014 10:43 AM

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - While international efforts are still ongoing to locate a Malaysian airliner that went missing last week, some are resorting to an unusual search method: magic.

A video by Euronews showed a group of four Malaysian men and a woman continuously repeating magic rituals while shouting “Allahu Akbar” (God is great).

In the video, the group’s leader knocks two large tropical fruits together while chanting.

Later on, three members of the group are shown sitting on a small carpet, with three people carrying sticks and straw baskets, moving the items in a rowing fashion as if they are sitting in a boat searching for the airliner.

On Thursday, the search for the airliner entered its sixth day.

Ten countries have already used their ships and aircrafts to scour the seas around Malaysia and southern Vietnam to find the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 plane that carried 239 passengers and crew.

However, repeated searches have found no trace of the plane, sparking one of the greatest aviation mysteries in memory.
