Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates’ Affairs Nasser Judeh on Tuesday urged a group of new diplomats to enhance to the maximum Jordan's globally recognized reputation, owing to the esteem that King Abdullah enjoys across the world.
Addressing a ceremony marking the graduation of the eleventh batch of attachés, Judeh urged the diplomats to exploit the Kingdom's international respect, which, he said, "makes the mission of a Jordanian diplomat an easy one." He referred to the international acclamation that Jordan acquired when it was recently nominated for a United Nations Security Council seat, noting that the Kingdom had announced its candidacy only three weeks ahead.
"This precedent reflects the high status Jordan and its leadership have," he told the attendees at the ceremony, urging the diplomats to defend the Kingdom's "honorable stances and publicize its achievements, as these are a model to be proud of." Jordan Institute of Diplomacy director, Omar Rifai, said in remarks during the ceremony that the institute trains and prepares Jordanian diplomats for efficiency and professional, ethical and rational discipline in the national foreign policy line and to deal with the issues facing the society and the state.
He said the institute also equips the diplomats with an advanced cultural proficiency that enables them to carry out their tasks properly and constantly their knowledge and skills.
