Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Royal Court said on Saturday that King Abdullah II's trip to Mexico and the United States is proceeding according to schedule, and denied as "untrue" a report that the King's helicopter had made an emergency landing while in Mexico.
"What happened was only a change in the route of the King's aircraft due to weather conditions, but there was no emergency landing and neither did the aircraft run out of fuel," a Royal Court source said.
It said that the King, who is in Mexico, the first leg of a working trip at an invitation from President Enrique Pena Nieto, will in the next few days begin a visit to Washington, the second leg of the tour, for talks with top U.S. administration officials and Congressional leaders and committees, ahead of summit talks with President Barack Obama in California on February 14.
