Joint Jordanian-Palestinian committee convenes in Ramallah

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - The Joint Jordanian-Palestinian, on Monday, opened a meeting in Ramallah with the aim of promoting economic and trade relations between the two countries .

Minister of Industry and Trade, Hatem Halawani, said in a joint press conference with his Palestinian counterpart, Jawad Naji , that the meetings of the committee are an opportunity to double trade figures between the two countries and raise the volume of trade exchange.

He stressed that the meetings seek to remove obstacles that hinder trade growth between the two sides, in addition to study the establishment of a Jordanian business center in Ramallah to facilitate business operations between the two countries.

The Palestinian minister added the committee will review all agreements signed between the two countries over the past period and will discuss a timetable for the implementation of these deals.

Naji also said the two sides will discuss prospects for establishing logistic centers on both sides of the border to facilitate trade.
