Balqaa University suspends classes after riot

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Scuffles broke out at baqaa University campus on Tuesday forcing administrators to suspend classes until next Sunday.

Six people were injured in tribal clashes erupted on Tuesday around Al Balqaa' Applied University campus.

Heavy Security forces as well as gendarmerie forces came to the scene, surrounding the BAU campus to control the riots.

Teachers in the university asked the students to leave the classes for there safety, students told Ammon News.

Anti-riot police used tear gas to disperse crowd of young men surrounding the university building, and to prevent them from storming into the campus.

Rioters used Auto - guns, knifes, and threw rocks at each other. six were injured one is in critical situation, and police arrested a number of rioters, Police told Ammon News.
