Fifth earthquake in week hits northern Israel

Ammon News - Agencies - An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale struck 8 kilometers from Tiberias.

The flurry of earthquakes is continuing. An earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale struck the region this morning.

This was the fifth tremor in the region within a week. The epicenter was eight kilometers from Tiberias, at a depth of seven kilometers.

On Sunday, two earthquakes were felt in the Tiberias area within hours of each other. At noon, the Seismology Department of the Geophysical Institute of Israel reported a tremor measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
