Ammon News - PARIS (Petra) Minister of Foreign and Expatriates' Affairs Nasser Judeh, on Sunday, participated in a meeting that brought together An Arab Peace Initiative Committee delegation and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
Kerry briefed the delegation on the progress of peace negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides under U.S. sponsorship, stressing keenness to continue coordination and consultation with the committee.
Judeh renewed Jordan's stance calling for the establishment of a Palestinian state on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, noting that the Kingdom deems the establishment of an independent Palestinian state a high Jordanian interest. The minister expressed concern over recurring provocations by settlers in Jerusalem and said such moves inflame not only the passions of the Palestinians but the whole Arab and Muslim nation.
