King receives credentials of 9 new foreign envoys

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Monday the credentials of 9 newly accredited ambassadors to the Royal Hashemite Court.

The King received the credentials of ambassadors: Santiago Ansorena of Spain, Ahsan Azher Hayat of Pakistan, Choi Hong-Ghi of the Republic of Korea, Majnoon Gulab of Afghanistan, Paul Van Den Ijssel of the Netherlands, Helena Ritez of Sweden, Lars Henrik Pira Perez of Guatemala, Jorge Alvarez Fuentes of Mexico, and Ravindran Robin Nair of Fiji.

Arriving for the ceremony, His Majesty was greeted by a guard of honour as a band played the national anthem and those of the nine countries.

The envoys laid wreaths at the tombs of their Majesties the late King Hussein, King Abdullah I, founder of Jordan, and King Talal.

The accreditation ceremony was attended by the Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Nasser Judeh.
