"Our position on the Syrian crisis is based on our concern for Jordan’s higher national interests," Momani, who is also the government spokesperson, said in an interview broadcast on Jordan Television's Sixty Minutes News Program. The minister also reiterated that Jordan would not be used as a "launchpad" for any military intervention in Syria. He stressed that Jordanian government bodies, at the forefront of which the Armed Forces, are ready to all options towards the situation in Syria. Momani urged media outlets to abandon exaggerations and adhere to accuracy and objectivity in handing news related to the sensitive developments in the region.

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani on Friday said that Jordan’s political position on Syria is clear and based on finding a political solution that guarantees territorial unity of the country and the safety of its people.
