Ammon News - AMMAN — Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh is set to hold talks on bilateral ties with his Egyptian counterpart Nabil Fahmy, who is expected to arrive in Amman Sunday.

The discussions are also expected to touch on regional developments concerning the Syrian crisis and the peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis, according to a Foreign Ministry official, who added that the two officials are set to hold a joint press conference.

The visit is Fahmy’s second to a regional country since he came to office in the new interim government that was formed upon the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi, as his first was last week to Sudan.

On Thursday, Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem Beblawi met with Jordan’s Ambassador in Cairo Bisher Khasawneh and discussed means to improve bilateral cooperation in the areas of energy, gas, electricity, trade, culture and tourism.

The Egyptian premier commended Jordan’s support to his country’s security and stability, according to a report by the Jordan News Agency, Petra. (The Jordan Times)
