The source told Ammon News over the phone that firearms and knives were used in the fight between individuals with "criminal records," who had apparently all agreed to meet in the area at dawn. Authorities launched an investigation into the incident, that left two dead, and six wounded, five of them in critical condition. Police arrested 6 individuals suspected of being involved in the clashes. A video-clip posted on Youtube allegedly shows the bodies of the two killed in the incident. Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - Two people were killed and five others were critically wounded in clashes that erupted at dawn on Friday in southern Marka, eastern Amman.

A source at the Public Security Department (PSD) said that the clashes erupted in Hay al-Hamlan between two groups of men, noting that the cause of the fight is still not known.
