Civil Defense extinguishes fire in a Norwegian ship

Ammon News - AMMAN (Petra) - Civil Defense teams in Aqaba on Tuesday worked to extinguish fire on a Norwegian ship anchored in the Jordanian waters at Aqaba port.

Colonel Farid Al-Shara, director of information for Jordanian Civil Defense, said that the department's teams are trying to control the fire that started on Tuesday dawn in one of the five warehouses on the Norwegian ship laden with 20,000 tones of wood.

Al-Shara added that no causalities were reported and investigations are underway to determine the fire causes.
