MP calls for Umra pilgrimage trip for lawmakers

Ammon News - AMMONNEWS - A member of parliament on Tuesday requested organizing an Umra (lesser pilgrimage) trip to Saudi Arabia for lawmakers during the holy month of Ramadan, which begins on Wednesday.

During a parliamentary session for the Lower House on Tuesday morning, MP Ibrahim Al Ayuti called for the Umra trip to be organized for members of the Lower House.

Meanwhile, MP Assaf Shobaki called on the government to regulate prices of basic staple foods and goods during the month of Ramadan, to alleviate the financial burden off citizens.
