Ammon News - AMMAN – The Lower House of Parliament said that the Israeli Knesset’s approval of the Prawer-Begin Plan reflects its Zionist approach to Judaize the Palestinian lands and evict the native population from that region.
In a statement issued on Monday, the House condemned the Israeli move which will allow the occupation authorities to take over 850,000 dunums of the Negev land and displace 40,000 Palestinians from 36 villages to Judaize the Negev area.
The House termed the Israeli bill as yet another Nakba "catastrophe" like the 1948 Nakba and expressed its support to the Arab members of the Israeli Knesset in rejecting this racist bill.
The House urged the international community, mainly parliamentary and legislative councils, to condemn the bill and put pressure on Israel not to implement it.
Israel’s Knesset recently approved the highly controversial Prawer-Begin Plan for the "Arrangement of Bedouin-Palestinian Settlement in the Negev", a plan which is likely to displace tens of thousands of Bedouin. (Petra)
