Ammon News - AMMAN (Jordan Times) — Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino and European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid Kristalina Georgieva are scheduled to visit the Zaatari Refugees Camp on Tuesday, according to an Italian embassy statement.

According to the statement, the foreign minister will deliver humanitarian supplies to the refugees.

The healthcare kits, earmarked for Zaatari, contain medical supplies and equipment sufficient for the care of 10,000 persons for three months, and will therefore serve to ensure the continuity of medical assistance provided by the Italian-Jordanian field hospital at the camp.

Georgieva is expected to announce an additional EU funding package of 400 million euros, which will include an allocation of 250 million euros in humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees, the statement said.
