Ammon News - DOHA (Petra) Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Nasser Judeh, on Saturday, said that sectarian tension, continuation of violence and bloodletting and the emergence of extremist groups in Syria threaten regional and international peace.
During a meeting with Arab and foreign ministers in Qatar on Syria, Judeh renewed Jordan's call for a political solution that ensures the safety and security of Syria and its territorial integrity, maintains the social fabric of the Syrian people and achieves their legitimate aspirations.
The minister highlighted burdens borne by Jordan due to receiving more than 540,000 Syrian refugees and stressed that Jordan will spare no effort in helping them despite limited resources and pressures they add to an already-strained economy.
The meeting brought together the foreign ministers of Britain, France, the United States, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Egypt.
